"A Higher Spectrum of Service & Trust"
Houston Garage Door Motor Repair – Genie, Chamberlain, and More…
Garage door openers can have a wide range of things go wrong with them and some of them are simple inexpensive fixes while others can be more than the value of the unit. Our technicians are highly trained and prepared to repair most major brands. When your opener is making noises, reacting strangely, or being non-responsive many companies will come out and say you need a complete unit without even really examining your existing one. That is not how we operate. We will inspect and diagnose the issue with your opener and present you with options.
Common Opener Problems
Some the most common issues with openers are stripped drive gear or broken sprocket and both the gear or the complete assembly can be replaced. Broken or loose chains and belts can be replaced or have tension added if not broken. Openers also have a capacitor for the motor to provide additional power to the motor and these often fail and need to be replaced. Problems with the logic board can present in different ways: sporadic up and down movement of the opener, remotes no longer communicating, light not working correctly, and a non-responsive unit. Board replacement is often recommended for newer units that may have experienced a power surge. Our technicians have been repairing and replacing openers in the greater Houston area for over ten years and would be happy to to help you today!
Repair vs Replace
We want to assist you in making the best educated decision concerning your garage door opener. Store bought units are not as rugged as professional units and often beyond ten years their components begin to wear out and the cost to repair them may outweigh the value of the unit.
The same holds true of professional units and generally after they are 15+ years old their components are harder to get a hold of and the part with labor may be more than the value of the opener. Our technicians come fully stocked and prepared to repair or replace your opener unit once you give them the go-ahead.
